I’ve gone through several baby monitors but I found the Philips Avent Basic baby monitor to provide the best value and the most effective. This Philips monitor is one of the most popular baby monitors out in the market. I trust the baby brand Avent and I have found Philips products to be reliable and well made, so I knew I was getting a good deal with the Philips baby monitor.
In comparison with other baby monitors that I have personally tried, the Philips Avent monitor uses DECT technology which means that I am able to get extremely clear sound quality and I can also transmit a static free signal. This provides me with a great signal from a total of 60 different channels, from a range of as much as 330 meters. Even when I use other home appliances as well as my mobile phone, I don’t suffer from any signal interference on my Philips monitor which is really convenient.
It’s subtle and simple to use, and the parent unit may be easily clipped on for mobility which is an added bonus. I’m able to adjust the sound volume when needed, increasing it if I’m watching television or if the washing machine is on, and lowering it when there is not much noise. This is actually quite handy in situations where I have to be away from my child for even a few hours such as getting his meal together or cleaning the nursery or simply taking time to relax.
