The battery pack is continually being charged up again by the generator, or alternator. The alternator and the engine are linked by a belt, and this process keeps generating the battery, which keeps the car working. When you turn the key, electric power from the battery is sent to the starter in order to start it up. That’s the reason whenever your battery is dead the starter is not going to start the car. Consequently, lots of people consider the battery an important component of the car. The battery also powers all the interior features as well like the radio, clock and alarm.
You’ll notice six cells in the battery that are separated by positive and negative plates via insulators. These plates happen to be in an electrolyte substance which is a mixture of water and sulfuric acid. The alternator similarly creates energy which powers the engine controls and ignition.
