You have to admit that reaching a 50th wedding anniversary milestone is a feat that the majority of people don’t ever achieve. As evidenced by the high divorce rate, most people don’t stay married more than a few years. Therefore, you should definitely celebrate the 50-year mark with a huge celebration. These are fun, lighthearted parties that almost make the bride and groom feel young again. You should think about making your own card to celebrate the occasion.
One of the best ways to have a beautiful card is to make it yourself. If you’ve never tried making greeting cards, you should. It’s a nice hobby to get started with, and there are so many different approaches you can take to any card you decide to make. buy some cardstock, and you’re ready to get started, even if you don’t think you have any creative talent.
An easy yet thoughtful card to make starts with a copy of a picture of the couple in the early days of their marriage. One option is to use a nice, cursive font with the words “Remember when”. You should use glue to put the words and pictures on the front of a piece of folded cardstock. The inside of the card could have a current photo. You could also write the names of the couple’s kids and grandkids around the edge of the photo.
I’m sure there are plenty of homemade cards with pictures on them that you can find on the internet. Finding them will give you plenty of ideas for making cards on your own. Don’t think that you can only make your own cards if you have major talent, because a card doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. You could put a ruffled paper heart right in the middle of folded cardstock. Then, you could simply add a bow to the inside of the heart. To finish thing, you simply need to put a lovely picture from a magazine or ornate lettering that says “50 years”.
